This course introduces the ‘Resuscitation Plan – 7 Step Pathway’. Learning outcomes
At the end of this course to you will be able to:
- describe the purpose and process of the Resuscitation Plan – 7 Step Pathway
- describe your legal and professional obligations related to resuscitation planning
- describe your role in relation to each step in the Resuscitation Plan – 7 Step Pathway, and the implementation of a patient’s resuscitation plan
- describe the rights of the patient, the Substitute Decision-Maker, family members and carers in end-of-life planning and the Resuscitation Plan – 7 Step Pathway
- describe your role in recognising a person is approaching end-of-life using the five triggers
- describe your role in the effective clinical handover of a patient with a Resuscitation Plan – 7 Step Pathway.
